Angry to the honda manufacturers:

where is my car? its been three weeks. the dealer continues to promise "anyday now". simply put- you have my money, the customer wants his product. everyone else said it took two weeks, which i'm fine with if that is the going rate. but my wife and i have waited 50% LONGER than everyone else. an answer from a honda rep. would be appreciated.

calm down. 3 weeks is nothing to wait for a car. You're at the mercy of the manufacturer, regardless of what the "customer" wants. Ordering them to do something and whipping yourself into a frenzy isn't going to help you deal with it. If you want "now" results, find a manufacturer that has a "now" car sitting on the dealership, since Honda's doing such a diservice.

Lightbulb well....

i dont really care when i get it. more or less just complaining. lol. i dont mind it taking awhile provided honda doesn't drop the ball like sony did on the PS2 or PS3. supply and demand created a "too fast" assembly line that caused an inferior product.

Why

I would like to know why we always get jipped on what comes here or does'nt come here, like for instance the civic the delsol came with a b16a in for a limited time, but not the civic until the si coupe came out in 99 but was also limited and not even a hatch then we never get the type r models just a crappy si hatch that i did like actually but no six speed not even the dohc v-tec even work for that motor works like it should. The rsx type-s was close but still not a type-r no accord type r or euro-r well not as a honda we got it as the tsx and its still not as power full. And the fit I love mine and all but the JDM fit is a little better one model comes in awd we dont even get it none of the good bodykits will fit without swapping for JDM front end first, And i have seen a jdm fit up close my friend from thailand has one it has a five lug pattern he bun on the 17inch wheels from a 2003 type-r civic it looks good just like that lowered. when he came to visit last X-mas we picked him up from the air port in my buddy max's all black fit he could tell in the dark that it was different he was like it looks a little longer, which after i did some research ours is. But thats my point why do we always have to do something to our cars for it to be like the jdm one cause I sick of swapping motors and knowing which tranny's work with witch engine and knowing all seven version of a type-r motors and knowing how many different cars a b20 comes in whe should get what everybody in the world gets. P.S I hate the drive by wire bullshit just makes it hard for no reason to make just a little extra power

Were you told 3 weeks from the build date, or was the vehicle already in the states? Your dealer gets a date that the vehicle will be produced. From there it is shipped to one of several ports depending on where you are in the country. It then takes a few days to be loaded on a transport (train/truck) It will usually then go to a distribution facil;ity be sorted and delivered to your dealership go through PDI and you take delivery. If the vehicle is in the states your dealer can track it through there Honda Interactive Network and tell where it is daily, if it is at the railhead then they can request a Hot status to get the vehicle delivered ASAP.

Sometimes there are situation(trains break, trucks break etc) that are out of the dealers control. I had a situation where a train broke down and delayed delivery by 10 days while the customer was frustrated I explained the situation and offered to try and find a different on and the cuatomer decide to wait because the others had Accesories on it that he didn't want. It has gotten much better I waited 3 months to get my 5speed sport back in 06. Patience young grasshopper

This is not American Honda's fault. This is the Fault of your dealership giving you wrong information. car takes 3-4 weeks to get to CA from Japan after being built. They probably said they would order you a fit and to "really order" a fit it takes almost 2 months to get from build to delivery.

Question really...

i had no idea it toook so long. ya it is my dealership's fault. they originally told us two days. lol ya right! so when 2 days rolled by i called, and got the same old story, after two weeks of that i went upside the manager's skull and walked out with a free rental until i get my ride!!!! no loan payments for me for awhile. called again today, guess what story i got?

right now i'm rockin the hilariously slow 2005 civic LX auto... oh ya baby.
good to know that info. however, does anyone have some solid proof? not that i dont believe, i just wanna see it with my own eyes.
