Yesterday I decided to take a different way home. I took a road that narrows from 4 to 2 lanes. I tried to overtake some Lexus SUV, but the prick would not allow me to pass. I was doing almost 60 before I hit the brakes for the merge ahead. And the a-hole and the nerve go 40 after I got behind him. BTW, most people speed down the back road I was taking.

Makes me wanna spend the money to give my Fit a little more power. I know you can only squeeze so much power from the Fit, but every little bit counts. I plan on looking at exhaust and an air intake.

 

I hate when people dont let you merge! Thats the only time i wish the Fit had more power so i could just pound it and rip right past the ass holes, but usually you end up hitting the brakes

Why did you try to overtake him? there's a huge sign that says "DO NOT PASS" i would have done the same thing if it were me.

 

I hate "Fit Rage" too, other drivers of big gas hog trucks, SUVs or high end Euro cars that are so mean to drivers of Fits, etc. Give em hell and smile all the way to the bank. If you drive a Fit, you are ahead of the crowd!

I always drive fast down this road I was on. I did not want to look at the ass of a Lexus SUV.

 

I have a modded Accord V6 6speed that is fast as hell. People treat that car very different than when I am in my Fit.
Of course having the power to blow away 99.5 percent of the cars driving on the roads around here helps a lot. When people think they can "push you around" they will. And if it is obvious that you have a very fast car, they leave you alone (unless they want to play)

 

You can push them around back during a sharp curve. Then just drive by their side and see how much faster they accelerate. With gas prices going towards $5, you have the advantage. They'll feel it at the gas station for sure. Hehehe, the weird part is, people have been nicer around here since gas prices poped up. And I've been passing people driving at 2K RPM. It feels very unusal.

 

man. sucks to hear that drivers are still jerks. You'd think with continually rising gas prices, people would dumb it down a little more.

 

you were in the wrong then. why be a jerk? you know what? the lexus owner couldn't care less about you. i HIGHLY doubt he went home, logged onto a lexus forum, made a thread about a riceburner he encountered on the road

 

You gotta surprise them and sneak up on them. If you know there's a passing lane coming up, back off a little. Hopefully you have a 5MT and drop it into the oppropriate gear and floor it a good 100 feet or so from behind them, by the time they realize what you're doing you should be going faster than they can instantaniously reach; unless it's a sports car or something.

 

Just so you know he does not have to let you pass him. and its up to him to drive @ 40.

Just because of this and you want to pump up your ride. How old are you ? sorry even with Turbo a Fit cannot beat a Lexus in a roll.

 

I was planning on doing a few thing to my car anyway. That incident just gave a temporary increase in motivation.

And actually, he did break laws when he was matching my speed to prevent me from being in front. I was speeding, then ergo, he was until I was forced to drop back. Then he became Johnny Law-abider, as was I.

I would have just kept merging over. Odds are he wouldnt want to damage his vehicle and probably just drove off the road.

If anything it would have been closer to the rear of your Fit. I would have just said he clipped you.

Its not a Porsche Cayenne. Last I checked Lexus doesnt have any fast SUV's.
The only fast one is the Rx. And its not even FAST.
