New Fit VS Old Fit
Dood, why the hell am I waiting for the new fit then! They have virtually the same power!
try this one on HONDA's site.
2008 Honda Fit - Features - 109-hp, 1.5-Liter, 16-Valve SOHC VTEC® engine
"The 1.5-liter, 16-valve VTEC® engine gives the Fit a generous amount of horsepower in relation to its size and impressive fuel economy. A hundred and five pound-feet of torque at a low 4800 rpm means drivers can enjoy quick acceleration and low noise levels, creating a comfortable driving experience."

Btw, you noticed the list posted with the differences between the 2 cars right?

I've read a lot about the differences between the model years. The only tidbit I was misguided on was about the torque #'s from edmunds.
My opinion of the update is, I love the way the old fits look, but every update is for the better on the new models except the front bumper. The japanese front bumper looks awesome though, I wonder if you could order one and slap it on. Probably wouldnt cost more than $500?

If you want power, get a sports car (Porsche, Ferrari, whatever) or some kind of gas guzzling SUV.

As a new Fit purchaser I am waiting to buy to 09 since it will help the value when it comes time to resell in several years. However, if i was in a hurry to purchase or already owned an 07/08 model I would be perfectly happy to have the current model since the differences are that big of a change imo. They both have their ups and downs!

any know that looks are relative, but does anyone else feel that the emergence of the new and improved 09 FIT will actually make the 07-08 MORE desirable?
the reason i mention this is because ever since the new xB came out, i actually like the old boxy xB's a lot more. the resale for those xB's arent taking much of a hit, and i was looking at carmax and i saw some used FITs with over 10-15k miles still going for $17k or more.

I HIGHLY doubt it.

I want more power in the fit so it's easier to drive on a daily basis. I was looking foward to having more torque in the 09, imo under powered cars can actually be unsafe, especially on the freeway.
