I was lucky... walked in, saw the exact one i was looking for ( happend to be the only sport on the lot) and traded in my POS and bought the fit! I've seen lots of people on here that have had to wait weeks or even a month or more.

Test drove an AT Fit and liked it, but I really wanted to try a MT. Nobody had one in my area (Kansas City; there are probably 8 big Honda dealers around). They said they had one on a boat coming in.

Then I got an e-mail from another dealer that they just got a MT in, so I drove it and loved it so much better than the AT. I was waiting of a VBP, but got the red one and I'm happy with it.

looks like you guys went in at the right time. They asked me to put money $500 down. I'd say F that. I'll wait.

i waited about six weeks for my TW sport auto w/black interior. The dealership had a TW w/beige interior after a couple of weeks but I really wanted the black.
I think it was well worth it : )

I called around to 8 dealers till I found it, then drove there and picked it up that same day.

The dealer nearest me wanted me to drop $500.00 and wait a month.

I test drove one in April, and ordered mine the next day. It should be in this week or early next week. I didn't have to put any money down or make a deposit. I have the best Honda dealer ever.

I ordered the first sport with a manual trans. to come to the dealership on apr. 19 2006 and waited about a week and a half for it to come, which when they came out was a really short wait time because you really couldn't go in to the dealership and get one off the lot back then. I really didn't have a choice with the color though but I like black now that I have it

Mine was located in another state, went in during the afternoon told we were going to get it, and picked it up that night

I had to wait from Feb 6th to May 9th for the specific one I ordered - Red base manual. Put a refundable $500 down. Bought $100 below MSRP and no other fees added ($14,485), no wheel lock, no mats, etc.

One other in the area of the same color but a sport model with add-ons and dealer added on another $399 in prep fees.

I decided to wait when I heard it would be about 6 to 8 weeks for mine to arrive. By the time I found it was to be 3 months (beginning of April), I may have gone to Nebraska to buy one if I had known in February. Very hard to find a manual here in Colorado but they are much quicker in the mountains with the different gearing.

I got mine off the lot, no waiting. I originally wanted VBP, but i had to pay some amount of money and wait, so I said F that just give me the orange one. I called a few dealers around and they had some VBP but they wouldn't match my price

I test drove a couple, then settled on the Fit I wanted. As most know, the '08 Sport M/T is tough to find, even in SSM. I waited a couple weeks - the dealer was able to get one shipped from another state.

I bought mine used, so naturally there was no wait for me. I did however decide to go look at this particular Fit simply because it was orange. Orange is kinda my signature color, so this BOM Fit was a fit. When we took it for a drive I was very impressed so we went for it. Now we only drive the YukonXL when we have to, so we're saving more in gas costs than the monthly payment, so it's a win-win situation for us.
