TPMS light
Thanks Rob22315 ...
I am doubting the TPMS system was properly activated/registered at dealer prep. That was my first theory. My car had just been delivered to the dealer the day before I purchased it. When the TPMS light came on at 20 miles ... I checked the tire pressure in all tires and all were approx 40 psi (cold tire pressure). I have checked and see where it is normal for Honda to over pressurized the tires for shipping. And from what I could see about how to activate the TPMS system ... I would have thought the pressure would have been released and each tire refilled to proper 33 psi.
I mentioned this to the service crew and salesman but they assured me that the proper pre-delivery service was performed. I don't care that they forgot to do it ... I just want it fixed. BTW ... after that, I got under the hood and checked to be sure I had oil!!
Thanks again.

tpms is a joke imo, whats wrong with checking your tire pressure every so often :P in the snow ice and cold tpms sensors are always a problem around here but the dealer can use the scanner and change the tempurature that the light comes on. but yeah tpms is still stupid
I hate to jinx it, but I have 2 sets of wheels, both with sensors in them. I just put my stockers back on, with the set of sensors that is NOT registered, and so far after about 100 miles no light at all yet.
My 2008 Fit Basic MT, hit a nasty pot hole nicely camouflaged under a puddle of water 3 weeks ago that bent both the steel rims on passenger side. One of the wheel covers flew off that I had to drive back to that place and recover, only to find a bit chipped on the edge, but still usable. Got a couple of used steel wheels on eBay for $25 a pop. Got the tires (not damaged) off the old and put them on the new wheels, reused the TPM sensors, balanced, and wheel covers back on. Asked Pep Boys who did the mounting and balancing the tires to put 40 psi on all 4 wheels. After some time TPMS lit up. Saw this thread, and reduced the pressures to 39, and sure enough, the TPMS light went off. Thanks to the forum.
Ok, i've had my Fit for a little over 3 weeks now and this past weekend my TPMS light came on again for the 2nd time. I've heard more than once that Honda seems to be having a problem with the TPMS systems in alot if not all of there cars. I'm just curious to see, how many other people out there are having issues with TPMS? I have a 08 Sport with stock wheels and as of this weekend, it has just over 1000 miles on it. Anyone else having issues of the recurring TPMS light?

Second, if one or more tires have low pressure then add air and see if the light goes out when all 4 are above 28 psig. If it doesn't you have an issue; go see the dealer.

since we normally pressure tires to 35 psig or more we see no problem even when the temperature drops 30F. if you run 28-30 psig then you can get the tpms light on cause the actual pressure drops by3-4 pig actual. just like footballs,
