Do you get compliments on your Fit?
It's not as desolate and far off as most people think. Anchorage is like any where in the lower 48, just different...
I have seen at least 15 different Fits around Anchorage.
Also, yes. We get a dividend every year in October. Its from all of the minerals and what not that are mined up here. Last year every man woman and child who is a resident got a check for $1654. The highest amount paid was $1963 in 2000. A far cry from $4k

but I'm pretty sure that "is your car fast?" 99.9% of the time refers to the entire performance package of a car. Yes, the Fit is fast around corners, no, the Fit is not fast on the drag. Yes, a 66 Impala is fast on the drag, no, a 66 impala is not fast on corners. Yes, a Subaru WRX is fast.
non-verbal compliment
I pick up my Fit on Wednesday, but a pretty good "compliment" I've noticed is that it's pretty difficult to find a Fit, at least in Ohio. The dealers are out of them, they're either called for before they get in or they sell within a week on the lot. Even the used 2007 models with 30k miles are going for the price of a new one. I'm just glad I found one
I have gotten a fair number of compliments in the month that I've owned my MR sport. One guy I met in a parking lot near a lake asked tons of questions about it; I had the time, so I showed him how the seats could be manipulated. Another guy was gassing up his Subaru S/W next to me at a filling station; I told him I'd sold a Subaru when I bought my new Fit. He probably would have asked me many other questions, but we both needed to move on. He looked kind of wistful when I told him I'm averaging a shade over 40 mpg.
Face it, a well-designed, good-looking, gas-efficient automobile is going to attract lots of positive attention in these days of spiraling gas prices.

i was out cleaning the fit the other day and there was a property inspector was around, both of them came over and asked what kind of car it was and said it was real nice.
then a few people said its smalll then got in it and was like OMG it's huge inhere.then i start it up and take em for a spin. i usally get sick props on the sound from the muffler.

I receive more compliments about this car than any other that I've ever owned (maybe my 00 Si and 05 STI)... primarily from women at gas stations. They like the look of the car, and VBP is definitely a hit with them. My wife also really likes this car, and thinks the tint really makes it stand out and look better. People are always impressed with the interior volume, especially with the rear seats folded flat.

When I picked up a garden tiller from HomeDepot yesterday, the guy couldln't believe how much room the back of my "little car" had... the look on his face when I opened the hatch was def. a compliment!
the comments I've got are extreme
1. "cute car" by old people or girls
2. "Rice" by some white people with mustang and Asian with bimmer(YES only mustang!!!) -_-
3. "Ugliest Honda" by my housemate lol

Drive throughs are making a fatass out of me.
Yes, that's where I always get it. Drive-through cashiers.
"I love that color blue!"
And a young woman at a store recently, who had wanted the exact car but wasn't willing to wait for it, so she had bought a Civic. She sat in my car, checked out the seat configurations, loved it. I think she would have traded with me.

But then YOU'D be driving a "boring civic" & we need good people to help represent for the A/T fits w/ me!!

On a similiar note...I've thought about getting my hfp's powder coated MR... but don't know... red w/ red would look good imo...
I've gotten a few compliments on mine, but my roommate rags on it. Then again, that is to be expected from my roommate.
Anyway, people like how big it is inside and how it looks. I surprised one of my coworkers by how loud the horn is when I locked it with the remote. I'm so glad the horn does not say "small car" in any way.
