Your interest rate?

What rate did you get from Honda?

For anybody who financed though Honda USA or Honda Canada;
Don't vote if you leased or financed through a bank or 3rd party.

0.9% for 3 years. Had a good downpayment resulting in a $178 bi-weekly payment. Plan to pay it off sometime next year though.

I was going to pay cash, I told them I wasn't going for any financing unless they dropped the rate below 3%. They offered 3.9% right up until the day I purchased.... then he got a "call" when I came to pick up the car which allowed them to drop it down to 2.9%

I used the money I didn't spend against my mortgage, currently at 4.75%

Wow, that is pretty good. Lowest I have seen was 1.9% against other Honda cars.

I wouldn't pay it off early. 0.9% is INCREDIBLY low. I'd ride it out as long as possible and use the money you were intending to use on something else yielding more interest. I.e. ing account, money market, etc.

dude, shop for a re-fi, pronto!

17% interest is credit card territory!

seriously, though....try and refinance it soon. even a 1% difference will help you out tremendously.

Wow, lots of people are over 5%.

I agree, even if you had the money to pay it out just throw it into a high interest savings account and draw payments from there because it will actually make you more money

I would kill for an 0.9% rate!! I even put down like 17000$ cash..... next time, I am bringing in the cash briefcase and drawing the blinds!

9% from honda directly, which is not too bad considering how many hits to our credit my wife and i have had. I'd refi, but too much negative equity. gotta rely on principle payments! (now, just when to start them... )

credit unions are where its at though, and don't ever go to a big bank for a car loan. ( i work for one and i have no problems admitting that.)

as far as sticking the extra into a savings or mm, the interest rates are so crap right now, it may not even be worth the hassle. i say pay it off early.
