Rewire windows to work with key in accessory position?
I find it to be quite a nuisance to turn the car ON in order to put the windows down, but this is my first Japanese car so I am just not used to it. Does anyone know of a way to change this?

ha i know, but that's lame, when i'm parked just listening to music i don't want to have to turn the key again to make the windows go down... when that also turns my vent fans, fog lights, dashlights and the other things on, its just a waste of the stored up charge in that little battery.. but basically i am just wondering if anyone has a simple answer to this, if not i don't mind it too much and i can learn to live with it

I have had Dodge, GM, WV, BMW and they all had to have the key in the run position to operate the windows. This is normal for all cars. Some new ones let yo roll up windows after turning the car off and BEFORE the key is removed.
I am sure that the circuit could be moved to the ACC switch setting. Pick up a copy of the service manual, trace the lines to their source and rewire as needed. You could even put them in an always live state as this wouldn't use any power when not in use. this way the windows could be opened and closed at any time with or without the key.
