Left Arm-rest ideas

For some reason I can't seem to stop placing my left arm on the sill beside the window when driving with that hand on the wheel. It just feels more comfortable than on the lower door handle. I'm pretty sure the cloth that covers that area of the door will soon look bad from years of that.

I'm looking for suggestions on something I can put in that area to protect the cloth door cover without looking too dorky.

Yes, but the OP wants something to protect the cloth upholstery on the window sill, not the lower arm rest/door pull.

You could do what I did on my '06 Civic. I pulled the interior panel off and separated a section of the door. I sprayed with Super77 glue and applied some buttersuede (faux suede, pretty inexpensive) to the door.

You don't have to use buttersuede. Any fabric will work, depending on what you want.

Just a suggestion. =D

I rest my arm there, too. Problem was when I got rear-ended, I got a nasty friction burn from the cloth there...
