Regular Fit or Sport?
Regular Fit or Sport?
I'll soon be buying an '07 Fit for my wife, and I intend to mod the heck out of it when she's not looking.
My question: If I plan on adding aftermarket cosmetic parts, does it matter if I buy a regular Fit or a Sport? Do you modding masters consider the stock Sport body parts to be worthy, or would you just as soon start from scratch?
I apologize for starting a new thread, but I didn't see this exact topic addressed elsewhere. Thanks in advance for any helpful input. Great site with some good folks here.

I paid cash for my car. For me the sport model wasn't worth the extra $2k or so. I don't care for the ground effects/body kit stuff. Fog lights don't cut through fog unless they are yellow, so they are pretty much just an appearance mod. I never use cruise control on any car i've ever owned that had it, I don't own an iPod, don't care about 2 extra speakers and + 40 watts on a stock stereo.
For me the sport model did not offer anything that compelled me to pay the extra for it. Maybe if there was a difference in the suspension or something mechanical or useful, like a seat height adjustment or maybe a power receptacle. I'd just as soon put that money into something else.
I think I am in the minority though. Most people I think like the body cladding and actually use cruise control and probably own iPods too.

I love the stock bodykit. I don't see a need to change any of the pieces. The foglights are badass, and until I get the Pioneer F-series GPS, I use my ipod with aux jack. For me, totally worth the extra cash.
well..
this is my own opinion, but the sport saves you time and money from modding plus it looks great right from the get-go. i personally find the stock fit to be bland and not "cool". i love using my sport auto paddle shifters, its the closest thing i'll ever get to a real F1 car. plus the extra money you spend on a sport is going to aid you in resale due to its higher price (i.e. - base model civic value vs. honda civic si value)
