Removing Fit Sport exterior trims

I'll be getting a NHBP Fit Sport 5MT. I was wondering if the spoiler and or underbody kit pieces can be removed without leaving any visible markings on the body of the Fit. I don't want those things. But I don't want bolt holes either.

Is this something I should have the dealer do for me? Can I do it myself easily? I'm not a DIY car guy at all.

When I remove them would it be easy to sell them? How much do they typically go for?

Better question, why get the Sport version at all? Just get a base model?

Personally I dont know what it is about people on this board wanting to do that, it makes the Fit look like a Ford Chevy Aveo...ugh

Because the Sport also comes with fog lights, cruise control, MP3 stereo, 15" alloy wheels and shifter paddles on the auto. It's not all about the body kit.

Also, it's about personal preferance. Some people don't like the look of the car with the kit others do.

No one has any explicit instructions or pictures on how to remove the pieces, but there is some help in the following post:

agreed.

anyway, as for selling, I'm sure you won't have much problems selling as these OEM lip kits are very popular in the Honda business. I guess there are base model VPB fits so someone out there would probably want it, or buy and paint. Just shipping etc will be a big issue. Good luck

A fit with no body kit reminds me of my old Geo Metro

I bought the Sport for the other extras, but have already hit the front lip bottom rolling into a turn down a driveway and over a bump at my local hardware store.

I think I will remove it. I have a stock '92 Miata, and with its pointed nose, its gone down the same driveway, no problem. Its a real off-roader!
