It seems like more and more people are stopping me on the street to ask me about gas mileage.

It happened again yesterday at a stop light. The guy kept staring at me and then the car and then me again, until finally I rolled down my window and he yells, 'what kind of gas mileage do you get with that thing?' I told him between 28 and 36 depending on my mood, lol. I then told him about how much room there was and how comfortable it was to drive. I also told him the front and side curtain airbags are standard, not to mention ABS.....

"You'd think he was getting commission on a sale," yells my wife from the passenger seat.

Okay okay, so maybe I sound like a salesman, but I'm sure a lot of people on here do too. We love our Fits and I think that's part of the reason people go out and buy one. I mean it's not the best looking or the most fuel efficient, and it's definitely not the fastest car out there.

Anyway, just thought I'd share that we might have on more convert.

Oh, and he was driving a newer model Accord. And yes, I told him about fitfreaks.net

I've had mine about two weeks now and it gets a lot of stares. A couple of days ago I was pumping gas and two guys pulled in behind me in a pick-up and began looking over the car and asking questions about it before they even pumped their gas. Asked me if it was a hybrid, lol. They said they'd never seen one or heard of a Fit before. I told them what a great car it was and about the mpg. They both seemed impressed, and especially loved the color. Not too many orange cars here, which is one of the main reasons I chose BOM for my Fit.

 

Leather interior eh? Did you have it redone somewhere. More info and pics please!

 

With those gas prices I think the Fit is going to get more attention than ever. Plus it seems a lot of mags and papers are doing stories on the top fuel econo cars so the Fit is right up there.

I had it done at the time of purchase thru the dealer as an option. Took about two days longer to get the Fit but was worth it. Cost about $1300+/-. They did a great job, it looks stellar with the Blaze Orange ext. I'll try and get pics posted soon.
I've ordered custom monogrammed floor mats with some orange stitching and want to add some window tint also. Will probably get those done, and then post pics.
