Hi everyone. quick question.

hi everyone ive been watching this website for a long time and have always hoped i could someday get a fit. Well, last weekend i picked one up. I got a VBP automatic sport and i am in love.
Anyways, the first mod i want is a carbon fiber hood and Ive been looking at the mugen style hood on HondaFittuner.com. I was just wondering if anyone else has purchased one and if so what your thoughts are about it. Love it? Hate it?
I also wanted to know if they are hard to install and require any modding to fit.

thanks in advance

Personally I'm not a fan of carbon... After it wears for a while it looks ugly (clear coat starts coming off). Also as far as first mods... I would get some drop springs.. Skunk2, Tein, or Eibach's. If I was to buy carbon then I would probably go with seibon.

ya, the one from the website is made by Seibon. From what i've heard they have good quality hoods. I also want to lower it but im a little afraid to. Im off to college in a little over a year and i know colleges have alot of speed bumps. I might lower it but i also dont wanna mess up my car.

IMO I think the OEM looks best.. especially if you arent doing much to the car. But if you like the Mugen style then go for it!

ya i love the OEM as well but someone told me if i go OEM then i would have to get hood pins installed otherwise my hood could fly up and break my window, but some1 else told me that the fit hood is so small that it isnt possible. Is this true?

Nope.. I was running my seibon hood for over a year with no problems.

Just watch that hood if you buy one. My cousin had one on his civic for a week and it was stolen. People see carbon fiber and just want to steal it I guess.
