Hi there,

I have a 2003 Jazz 1.3 i-DSI Manual in Milano Red.

I have now driven 98,700km in it.

It has averaged 54mpg (Imperial).

All that has failed in this distanceis the right-rear wheel bearing and the positive crankcase ventilation valve.

I am fitting a Sony 6-disk MP3 autochanger:

I would like to fit a temperature gauge to the car - are there any workshop manuals out there, or has anyone done this?

That's it for the moment!

hey bro,

Is there a growing Jazz scene in NZ yet?

The DEFI gauges are meant to be among the best. DEFI also do a full on LCD display module. http://www.defi-shop.com/

You can get gauge holders that sit on the dash above the center air vents or attach to the side of the instrument console. Another option is to use the speaker pods that fit in the front quarter panel window area from carryboy to mount gauges instead of speakers. A further option is to get the standard double din audio faceplate, use one DIN for a standard aftermarket stereo and the other for a DIN 3 gauge cluster.

Thanks mate. Hmmm a "Jazz scene in NZ". Apart from me (and I'm 41) NZ Jazzes are driven by very old, grey-haired women. It's just about NZ's biggest selling car, yet most youngsters won't touch it with a bargepole - it's a shopping trolley, as far as they are concerned!

Thanks for the info on gauges. What I need to find is where the coolant temperature sensor is, on the twin-spark engine. Does anyone know?

Obviously quite a bit different to here in oz. Mostly young asians. Is the vtec version available in NZ or only the dsi?

Here is a picture of the speaker pods which would either make a nice housing for a guage or good location for a fabricated housing.

Very nice! The 1.5 VTEC has just arrived here. The dealer is lending me one when they do the 100,000km service next week. With mine being a manual, it'll make a nice change to drive a flappy-paddle version.

My town has about 9,000 people, and is very popular with retired folk. The Woolworth's carpark this morning seemed to be half full of Jazzes!
