Short Turning Radius

I just got back from a trip from northern Vermont to the seacoast of New Hampshire. I drove my four-month-old Fit. I was very impressed by the car's nimble handling and short turning radius. We were heading down 1A along the ocean, and periodically we stopped at pull-outs to get out and look at the sea or to stroll along the beach. It was so easy to turn into limited-size parking spaces and to do U-turns where necessary.

I saw a TON of other Fits -- all colors. Southern New Hampshire dealers must have gotten their fair share of '07 and '08 Fits.

When most of the way home, I refilled the gas tank and discovered I had gotten 44.045 mpg for the trip. That was for mainly 55-65 mph driving, some 70, using the AC most of the time, with a little bit of coasting and some 3-second drafting behind tractor-trailers. I usually average between 40 and 41 mpg, so I think the engine is becoming even more efficient as it breaks in. The odometer is approaching 5000 miles.

This is the best car I've ever owned and the most fun to drive.
