Restoring a crashed FIT???

Hey guys i just got a idea. I was thinking of looking around for a salvage FIT for sale proably could get it cheap and than slowly restoring it. But not to stock go all out with it some thing like a k20 maybe with a turbo not sure yet. And gut the thing just leave driver seat so it would be as light as a feather. Have not seen any slavage Fits yet wounder what they would want for one. We will see i want another project seeing i crashed my EVO. So i thought if i take my time i could afford to build something like this. This could be a great projest what do u guys think

sounds like a good idea if you have time, money, and the experience to handle it! if you do it, make a thread for it please so we can follow your progress! i love watching great builds unfold!

Why not. If you got the know how, tools, money, and time.
I've seen wreck Fits on ebay for cheap so you can check that out.

Just don't get one that might have a bent or otherwise structurally compromised frame.

Yes i would not want to do frame work. I would look for one that just had body dame like front or rear bumper maybe got hit on the tire. I was looking around i found a couple but they want like 6,000 for it. And i think that is still to high. I will keep looking and once i get her i will start a thread with all the pics of the stages

yeah it really isn't at all.. as a base too there's a lot of options. but how hard could it be to find a crashed fit somewhere in cali? there has to be quite a few. i guess you just have to know where to look. that's a great idea you have though

The thing is i am moving to FL in 2 weeks so i am looking there for one. We will see though. Its just an idea right now it would cost alot though. But be one bad a$$ sleeper. But i might just supercharge my Fit right now. I just want more power. If i could get my fit to 200WHP at around 30-35MPG i would be all over it.
