Anyone else have an oil pressure gauge..

..and notice the beastly oil pressures this motor likes? Mine seems to like 70 psi while cruising (and sometimes over 100 when the motor is cool!)

I had an oil pressure gauge on my old Mazda and it never liked anything over 55 or so - even when I was wringing it. I'm pretty sure that old motor would have sh!t itself if it ever saw 100 psi..

I assume you're using a scanguage to get these numbers?

No, the scangauge can only display parameters that the ECU can monitor. The only pressure gauge the ECU could see would be the sub-5psi dummy switch.

I have a pair of Prosport gauges installed using their oil filter sandwich plate setup. It monitors oil pressure and temperature coming out of the oil filter.
