oil pressure and temp questions.

i have an 07 with a greddy turbo kit and i recently installed prosport gauges. if my oil temp is around 200 degrees F then my oil pressure is about 10 psi at idle and my gauge starts beeping and blinking at me but if im off of idle my pressure goes up. if i hold the rpms at 1200 the pressure is at 20 psi. if im above 2500 its at about 60psi.

is this normal??? or should i change the warnings on my gauge?? or should i use different oil??

engien specsil at 176 degrees
idle... 10psi (minimum)
at 3000 rpm...50psi (minimum)

(this info was taken from the service manual)

seems as though you are in specs

i have a service manual but the specs read minimum and worried that its starving the turbo of oil.

My prosport gauges do the same thing. On idle, mine is chillen at 10psi and at 3000rpm's it goes to around 60 and at 6000rpm's its at full 110psi.

My oil temp is around 200F also.

Remember, the turbo at idle is not spinning, but oil is still being pumped through. It doesn't get til full boost at around 3500rpm's and by that time ur at 50+ psi.

your fine. i assume my oil system is working correctly since i dont have a oil pressure gauge. if i remove my oil drain line, i get a good oil flow, so id say your def. not starving it.

if your turbo isnt spinning at idle, you shoudl get your money back. turbo is ALWAYS spinning when the car is on, and evens spins for a short amount of tie after its turned off.

as long as there is aexhaust gases passing through the manifold, your rutrbo is spinning.
