Tires
Anyone notice how the stock tires absolutely suck in the rain? They're not great in the dry either but in the rain the car wants to slip all over the place, and accelerating is an adventure.
How do these tires hold up, anyway? I have about 17,600 miles on my Fit and it seems the tires are wearing awfully fast, but maybe it's due to the way I drive.

Yes, I generally rotate the tires every oil change. Comes out to about every 5-6 thousand miles.
Maybe I'm just too hard on the gas, I do have a bit of a lead foot.
Although it seems the reviews on Tirerack aren't too favorable either:
Dunlop SP31 A/S
Gotta get some stickier tires when these finally wear out.

The Dunslops are mostly a tire of lower rolling resistance so the mpg is higher. The buyer is expected to chose tires to his particular specs.
Some dealers offer alternate tires/wheels exchange (at added cost) to enhance their part of the sales contract.

Yeah, I noticed that 16" wheels were optional on the Fit Sport. Looks like those came with Bridgestone Potenza RE760s. Anyone opt for the 16 inchers and would like to comment on those tires?
What tires are the other FitFreaks running? How do they do in terms of dry traction, wet traction, etc.?

I like the Bridgestone Potenza tires. I ran two sets of them, the G009's, on my last car, a Saturn L300. Decent wear and great handling. Of course, it doesn't rain too much here in Los Angeles. I'm planning on getting Potenzas on my Fit once the original tires wear out.

Now, you have to type in your car/year/model, and the above tire is the only one they show. I hesitate to spend the quoted $127.99 per tire based solely on brand loyalty (have had decades of good results with Michelins on cars/trucks/SUV's).
If any member has used this specific tire, please comment on your results. I do not need to buy anything right now, so if no one has used the above Michlins, no problem. Thanks in advance if you have comments.
P.s. I have read all tire comments regarding other brands. I just want to rule out THESE Michelins if there is a reason why I should do that.
