Ok, this may be a dumb question and correct me if I am wrong.... I thought the JDM Fit dun have side markers?
But then again you aint making ur car JDM right? if not then I guess side-markers look nice~ What is the color of your Fit? I've seen some euro sidemarkers thast tinted black and if ur fit so happen to be black, it will blen in very nicely.
Regarding the lowering spring / coil over, I dunno how much speed bumps / how high the speed bumps you have to go thru a day, but I would prolly not lower it if I had to go thru speed bump at all. I remember i've scratch my front lip so many times even at factory height (I didnt expect the bumps at this mall in Richmond - aka Lansdown to be so high and i had to angle my car =.=')

<lightbulb goes off>
You mean JHM GD3 etc etc.??? Aha! That's what I needed to know. Brilliant! THX!
yeah, vehicle identification number...chassis code...all boils down to the fact that it means a specific generation. I dunno where they got GD and GE from though. Or any of the letter/number combos. It's crazy. Why not 1GF for 1st gen fit? lol
Did some quick research on this...
The 4th through 9th positions in the VIN are the Vehicle Descriptor Section or VDS. This is used, according to local regulations, to identify the vehicle type and may include information on the platform used, the model, and the body style. Each manufacturer has a unique system for using this field. Most manufacturers since the 1980s have used the 8th digit to identify the engine type whenever there is more than one engine choice for the vehicle. Example: for the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette U= 6.0L V8, E= 7.0L V8.

Now you can't make excuses that we don't know because we're not Japanese!

Hahaha. lower it a max of 1 inch, not 2. You'll be fine. I've been getting minor scraches with a 2 inch drop on deep dips on the freeway. So 1 inch drop shouldn't be bad unless you really eat the dip at high speeds.
example vin: jhmgd312348s000001
first character is country of origin: j = japan, 1 = usa, 2 = canada, etc
2,3 = honda motor corporation
4,5,6 = chassis code (GD3)
7,8 = type of car (sedan, coupe, hatchback, engine, etc)
9 = vin accuracy check digit
10 = digit for year model (7 = 2007, 8 = 2008, etc varies with generations)
11 = built at which plant (s = suzuka, etc)
12-17 = production number (000001 = 1st vehicle made)

yea... thats wat my friends are telling mee too. i really don't kno though. i tink imma do everything first before i lower it. im really not ready for that. its not even on my mind
hahaha someone seems lazy
hahaha jkjk.how low are yu plannin on going?
yea.. i kno! but i was thinking going wit the lil details first. before thee big stuff. i dnt kno. yur thee first person that said rims. hahah everyone else says LOWER it
Everyone tells me to lower mine also, but I am not. To me the stance looks just fine at stock height. Lowering is not practical for me either. I've already scraped the front lip a few times, no need to have that happen on a daily basis!
I went rims first as well. It really makes like a huge difference, probably the best mod for this car lol. I'm not planning to SLAM. There are a few rocky roads around here I have no choice but to drive over. I'd be a moron to get something like Skunk2's. I'm going with EnduraTechs, something like 1.2" front and 1.0" rear maybe less than that.

Man I'd love to do the JDM conversion. I really hate the USDM's dinner-table-width butt that sticks out and collects dirt, dust and everything else under the sun. At least the JDM's butt is a bunch shorter! My next project though I'll probably try to tackle independent fogs this Saturday. I'm a failure at electrics and wiring though, so maybe I won't lol

My last 2 numbers are 20, so does that mean my fit was #20 on the day it was built?
