CA Tint
And dont forget that cameras will compensate for lighting etc. It was overcast this morning which is actually why i chose to take a photo since the lighting was pretty even all around. I should have used my dslr to make it more accurate but i just had a canon in my glovebox and was too lazy to get the better camera. haha.
Well i didnt have an untinted window to show it. But you can easily see the difference between my tinted windows and an untinted fit's window. I'll have to find one to park next to - there's about 4 where i live. haha. I felt the tints made the car feel smaller inside, but its one hell of a lot cooler and way less glarey.
Ah vallejo...what's your city's fate now?
Don't go 35 especially when your car is sooo light colored.
I can get a better photo for you. But honestly 50 is as low as i'd go. I was worried when i saw them put on 55 because it looked so dark. In their shop i couldnt really tell the difference between 55 and 20 on my car.
i live in two of strictest cities in CA, so i'm always paranoid about getting rolled for stupid things.
I'll post up some photos in a bit.
Maybe these will help a little bit.

When you get to your tint shop they usually have some cars there they can show you what the film looks like applied. Most places have this demo box that shows you the different tints but they look much lighter on that display than they do on the car. Especially since our interior is black, it makes it seem much darker when you're on the outside looking in.

I'm located in Cali too and my area is strict too, but I have a lot of friends with 35 around, but cops aren't really going to hassle about tint unless they don't like you. I say this because since they passed the law about cellphones and driving. I am going to get 35/20 on mine, Hopefully I don't get pulled over. lol
