Exclamation Angry Fit Drivers

I'm starting to notice something, the only fit owners I've seen here in AZ are women, teens and painfully old people, the similarities? They all tear on their respective fits, I see them all the time taking speed bumps at 40 or flooring it at a light. For example I'm driving back to school this evening and some teenager in a NHBP starts lining up to race, I drive my normal tortoise speed as he floors it ~65 in a 40.

I'm just wondering how many people do you guys see abusing their fit?
I've yet to see more than one SINGLE decent fit driver, and about 2/5 of the fits I see have had some kind of body damage.

I peel out at every single light when I'm at the front. Why the hell not? It's fun and I still get 30+ mpg even flooring the shit out of my Fit!

So far, I have seen about 7 other fits. Two were people on their way to work, so just preoccupied. One TW I saw was really dirty, the other was clean. Two of the Fits (VBP/SSM) were being driven by "seasoned" citizens, who didn't wave back at me or even notice I was waving. And one MR had about 5 people in it, was dirty, and flying down the street.

These are inexpensive cars, utilitarian to many people, their daily driver, and with teens, may have been given to them by parents (when the teen might have chosen a tC instead) which rarely leads to good care of the car. I have learned over the last few weeks that there are Fit owners, and then there are Fit Freaks. We are the Freaks because we love these cars in a way that the ordinary owners may not.

There are maybe 5 fits in town here that I have seen and all of them are normal, middle aged drivers, at least they appear to be.

I'm in AZ, ~30 year old male...

I don't peel out at lights, keep my revs below 3500, and have no body damage. (Got rear-ended 3 days after I bought it, but that's fixed now).

I exagerated when I said I peel out all the time lol. Sometimes I do, if I'm in a bad mood or the music I'm listening to gets me pumped up. I have noticed though that I don't take it as easy on the throttle anymore like I did the first month I owned it. I think I'm tiring of the lack of power. I need a turbo or something lol. I take care of the body though. You'll never see my NHBP dirty for longer than 2 days...

I don't see many people around here driving their Fits too fast. However, ive only seen one other Fit that is clean as mine. I can tell most havnt been washed in months. I mean, if you liked your car alot...you would want to keep it looking good.

I see TONS of Fits here on Houston freeways and streets now. Back when I bought mine in November of 2007 nobody seemed to have one. But once the gas prices started climbing, so did the amount of Fits I have seen tooling down the road. Hell, during a rush hour I sometimes feel like I am in a flock of Fits...

Yeah, it does seem that I see a lot of them not too well cared for. And people do rag the heck out of most any car when you get down to it. I wish it were a more exclusive club, but there you are. I bought one hoping to be part of a cult and not a crowd.

Everybody I see driving a Fit is usually old or a woman and appears to be on heavy seditives and stupid pills. Slow starting, slow to get up to speed... blinker on 3 blocks away kind of people.

I abuse my Fit, but I keep most of the obnoxious stuff off of public roads.

I just drive at whatever speed I feel comfortable with. Ever since I've lowered my car, I drive less agressive just in case I run into obsticles. The only damage I have is on the lip and slight door dings. Damn those people who don't know how to park their cars! lol.

When I tried to buy an '08 at the end of July/first part of August, there were NONE anywhere so those people you see grabbed MY car!! Heh. I'm glad I got the one I did, though.

I guess I just don't get around town enough...I don't see that many over here on the west side. Houston drivers put a LOT of miles on their cars so the Fit is a perfect Fit for us! Great mileage and fun to drive...

We are still part of a cult, since most people are Fit drivers and owners, but not Fit FREAKS!!! I am a total FREAK about Fits! Would a "normal" owner buy a 3rd brake light that says "Fit?" Or personal plates that say FIT FRK? Nope. We're freakin' freaks.

Yeah, well, I am a woman but not stupid and I've seen plenty of MEN driving like idiots too. And if you open my car door, you might have to brace yourself so you don't get knocked down by the music I play...even my 14-year-old swallows his gum when I crank it.

Some "old" people can still be hip, too.

I drive my fit hard every once in a while. but other than that i drive it like i'm a 22 year old grandpa.

btw I've seen about 3 fits around my town and let me tell you, my town .. you can drive through in about ... 10 minutes. But there is a BOM fit at college that i park by sometimes. I've never seen the owner though.

I'm not angry. I just look it.

Plus I am too old to peel out anymore or drive like a mad man. Gets to a point where people just look at you and strange. Sort of like seeing a 50 year old Viagra patient hanging out at a club full of 20 year olds. Some things just shouldn't be done anymore.

i normally tend to drive at a speed and in a way that i don't stand out. most other fits i've seen seem to do the same, with a few exceptions.
