Does anyone notice that when they pull in to stop and then shut the car off...(just to acc) the radio goes off and then back on. (Just goes off for a split second.) As everyone knows, when in acc...the radio is still supposed to be on...what I dont get is why it goes off then back on. It doesn't do this that often...perhaps, once a week.

I dont mind it...but just wondering about this since it's not very consistent.

No if I remember correctly, on my previous car the radio stays on without power interruption.

The current should be interrupted as the key is being turned. It's the same reason why if you put it into ACC and let the radio power on, then turn the key to ignition the power gets cut as you switch between the different positions.

My radio does not cut out when I move the key to ACC even for a second. It's possible the manufacturing tolerances on the ignition switches allow enough variation in the contacts that some switches will do this and some won't. If nothing else is wrong with the car I wouldn't worry about it. If you're having other issues with the switch, I'd get it looked at.

This seems to make sense.

I don't even mind that it does this once in awhile...just curious since my other cars never did this.

Thanks for your feedback FF!
