what did u drive before the FIT???
I drove an FX35 and a Kawasaki 650r prior to the Fit...had both for about a year. Before that I had an '02 Subaru WRX which I managed to hang onto for almost 7 yrs.
Goin' back further it went Mitsubishi 3000gt, Pontiac Firebird Formula, Mitsubishi Eclipse, and a Suzuki Samurai

I haven't owned a lot of vehicles over the years compared to some people... but here's my list:
78 Toyota Celica GT - First car owned. Purchased stock in '88, mod'd then sold '91.

89 Honda CBR600 - Purchased new '90, sold '94. Bone stock.

92 Toyota MR2 - Purchased '91, daily driven until '02 now just a summer toy.

03 Nissan Xterra - Purchased '02, great truck but rising gas prices became a turnoff and sold in '11. Kept stock.

07 Honda Fit - Purchased in '11. Chosen because of excellent gas mileage, 4 doors, great utility space
AND sporty handling & looks. Was stock but mod bug bit immediately.

First car was a hand me down Ford Tempo....that is the car i learned to wrench on because it constantly broke down...from then on every car was purchased/insured/modded by me.
1988 Volvo 740Tic - 5spd 2.3L SOHC 8V turbo. It made me get boost addicted. after about 2 years it was running T3/T4 @ 20psi, upgraded fuel injection, IC, exhaust....Zero traction because putting really stick tires made the stock 5spd grenade...i went through 5 transmissions and could swap one out in 2 hours start to finish. It ran mid to low 13's and was a total sleeper. From the outside it was bone stock.
1987 Ford Mustang 5.0 LX Hatchback. Not even gonna list the mods cuz the list would be too long. Lightly modded engine with a 200 shot nitrous...mid 12's. Was a daily driver till it got written off by a lady turning infront of me.
1990 Civic. Bought it as a winter beater for $500 bucks. drove it for a year and sold it for $500...lol. It had a 96 Si engine in it and was a hoot to drive.
1984 BMW 633csi. Lowered on eibachs full M6 bodykit, 93 535i engine swap...felt like a total pimp driving it and it was in immaculate shape. Stolen.
1994 BMW 530i Wagon. North America only got the wagons in automatic. Converted it to 5spd, it was still slow as hell. The 3.0l DOHC V8 was swapped out for a 540i 4.0L DOHC V8. ACShnitczer body kit, 18" M-parallels and slammed to the ground. God i miss that car. It was also the car that got me hooked to wagons and hatchbacks...so much room!
The car caught fire and the engine bay burned down. Bought it back from insurance and parted it out. made more money than i paid for it.
1995 Golf CL. Bought this when the bmw burned down. It was meant as an inbetween car. Hated it every second of driving it. slow, burned a TON of gas, loud interior and constantly broke down. Couldnt wait to get rid of it.
2001 Nissan Maxima SE 20th anniversary addition. 3.0L V6 Manual. By far one of the best engines i have ever driven. Huge amounts of torque across the range from idle all the way to redline. you simply cannot lug this engine...you could be in 5th at 30km/h at idle, step on the gas and it will accelerate. Unfortunatelly it was rusting...not a big deal, i thought i could keep driving it for a few more years until a few months ago i was replacing the alternator and i removed the front skid shields and to my horror the front cross subframe has rotted all the way though and the front engine mount was hanging down 2". That was the last straw. a 10 year old car with 240K km on it should not have structural rust! Also for such a large car you cant really carry that much. The rear doors are shaped weird so large bulky items cant squeeze throught. Even though the trunk is large the opening is small. I'm driving it now until it dies basically or until spring comes and i buy a Fit...lol kinda hoping it craps out...
BTW, every mod i've done to the car was done by myself. swaps, upgrades etc etc.
I also have a stable of motorcycles. 99 VTR1000F Firestorm, 08 GSXR 750, 96 RM250, and the girlfriend drives an 05 RSX and rides an 05 SV650.

1st car: 2000 Saturn SL1 yuck boring car kept for 4 years never had a single problem
2nd car: 2003 Saab 9-3 2.0T loved this car to death but the sway bar bushings needed to be greased every 3 months otherwise they creaked like crazy over every bump, the window would go up then down because of pinch protection malfunctions, then gearbox would give me a malfunction error now and then, then at 70K miles the transmission went on it luckily I had a extended warranty and it only cost me $100 to fix. If the transmission didn't go I would have kept the car because it looked great, was decently fast, and had great gas mileage.
3rd Car: 2006 Subaru Legacy GT, I only kept this car for a year and it was reliable, I had a stage 2 tune on it so it was pretty powerful. An absolute beast in the snow, but only averaged around 18mpg and I was spending about $60 to $90 a week in gas. With the Fit I spend $35 every 3 weeks in gas LOL
4th Car: 1990 Mazda Miata I bought for $1000 then did some maintenance on and cleaned up the paint and the interior and sold it 4 months later for $2000. Car handled fantastic but the previous owner neglected it badly and it needed a lot of TLC and I didn't have the money to blow on it to restore if fully.
5th Car: 2009 CBP Honda Fit love it to death and plan on keeping it for a few years

Here's what I drove in the past:
1981 Oldmobile Omega sedan (1984-1990)
1990 Honda Civic LX sedan (1990-1998)
1998 Honda Civic HX CVT coupe (1998-2011)
I LOVED my '98 Civic HX coupe, but in recent years a repair done on my car done in December 2009 that cost US$2,050.00
and the engine's recent penchant to burn oil (almost a quart every 2,000 miles) finally convinced me to buy a 2012 Honda Fit Sport AT last weekend.

a 95 red civic with manual roll down windows and manual locks. used to wear my swimsuit while driving during the summer bc my AC was deemed "unfixable".
...you have no idea how many times my car got broken into. luckily no one stole it...although sometimes i wish they had

80's BMW E21 - Hand me down from my family. It had over 300k on it when it got to me, so I didn't get to enjoy it as often because it would break down. But when it was running the car was fun, and gas efficient.
90's BMW E36 - Love this car. I still own mine, but just recently went to the DMV to register it as non-operational so that I could see if I could revive it.
90's Toyota Camry - While my car was registered as non-operational my mom let me borrow one of their cars that wasn't being used at the moment. When my parents needed their car back.
12' Honda Fit Sport - While my mom said that I could continue to borrow her car, I realized that I need a new car. My e36 needs a little work, but can still be fixed. So far I love my Fit, especially since it sips on the gas while my e36 was taking gulps.
