Talking walk around the lot

yesterday i had nothing to do so i took a lil drive out to the Honda dealership where i bought my car cause they gave me some free carwashes. there are both cloth and touchless jet washes. i go touchless.
so i pull in, get my car washed and decide to take a strool around the lot to check out the 09models. first car i came up to was the new fit. it took me a while but i finaly found the one i would buy. a MR 5mt sport w/ nav. it was purdy good lookin on the outside. with a decent drop and some ballin rims that thins would looks sharp. so i wanderd around a lil more till i got to a black 09 Si coupe. what can i say. the car looks amazing. i sat down on the inside and fumbled around with the clutch and gearshift. WOW this car has long shifts. i almost want to say that it felt like fit shifts are shorter. i love the tach and the digi spedo. NEXT. walked over to a 09 s2000cr. wow this car is imaculate. yellow and black stitched seats. leather steering wheel and COMFY. im 6'4 and i dont believe a person that is 6'4 1/2 can fit in this car. it was not tight but snug and comfy. this car has the shortest shift and clutch that i have ever felt. pure race car. but i could see where it would get confusing and maybe misshift. anywho, now to the good part of the story. hopped back in the fit and headed for the exit. when out of the corner of my eye i saw a lil pearl white GTR wink at me. after pulling a lil ninja move across a busy road in memphis and somehow making it back into the nissan lot. there were 2 people "guarding" the car just sitting really close and watching everything i do. signs all over it saying "do not touch see MGR for details" so i kept my distance. snapped a few pics and stared in awe. its kinda different than seeing it in a picture. this car has what i would call personality the features are extreme bit the lines on the car are sooooo smooth. igimmie a day. ill post the pics

Pretty sweeet story.
I never thought the Si shifts were long though lol. Definetly seem shorter then Fits haha. That is stock Fits with out the short shift kit heh.

And yea, GTRs are amazing to see in person. I saw one at my local Nissan dealer aswell. I couldnt get my jaw off the floor haha.

GTR are nice but way over priced they are going for close to 100K that is why they are guarded. I'd rather get a Evo again. My next car will be eithier a Evo,S200 or a subie. Not really sure yet i just want a nice sports car that is nice out and inside

My son pointed one out to me a few weeks ago...we have a very fancy gated community nearby, and one resident owns a Maybach....so this silver car turns left to go into the community, son says, "There's the new Skyline GTR!" I always ask him how much, b/c if he's interested, it's usually over 50K. So he tells me 75K and I told him then, it doesn't look like that much car to me.

But looking at it on the website...it looks and sounds sweet....

When push comes to shove I doubt I could buy a car for 75K. I'm just too cheap.

The GT-R is pure bliss, there are a couple driving around the streets here. I looked at one at the local mall, Nissan Canada had a display and were hoping the GT-R would pull in the crowds and some might pop for a Versa or something. The GT-R has an 18 month waiting list in Canada, so the salesperson said. There is a magazine which has been driving a GT-R for a few weeks now, they have had many mechanical issues with the car. I will see if I can find the link.

The Nissan test track drive is pretty cool (having taken an Adobe Flash class I am wowed), crank up the volume:

Funny article comparing the rear end to a Chevy:

The review, long-term article:

I gotta say, I enjoy my RSS feed from Edmonds for the car blogs.

2009 GT-R: Nice looking car, but the tail lights suck. They make the back end look like a Chevy Malibu from a couple years ago. Ick!
