yes! major pet peeve of mine too. mostly I just need to know speed by 5mph ranges because cops will pull me over for even 5 over. i wish car dealers would address this--its a major issue.

I read your posts when I first joined, and I want to say I am glad you're back with a new Fit.

How do you like it compared with your GD3?

When I picked up my Fit at the dealer, I too noticed that the steering wheel blocked out the top of the speedometer gauge. So I adjusted it slightly so that I could see the speedometer. I quickly got used to the slightly different position, and it immediately became a non-issue. If you decide you like everything else about the car, I wouldn't let this be a deal-killer.

BTW, the Fit is a great car for the money and a total blast to drive.

Thank you for asking. I must say in many ways I like it better. If I had not had an insurance payment I very much doubt that I would have traded in for an 09. I liked the look and feel of my old car. I know there is a lot of kidding that goes on around here about 07 vs 09. There are many things on the 09 that are just where Honda has improved a really good design. The handling is not the same, and the ride is more suited to comfort. I commute everyday so the extra quietness and comfort is a plus to me.

If I had had my accident even a month earlier I would have gotten an 08 to replace my Fit (if I could have found one). I never even considered another car.
