Preferred wheel position

I've been trying to find a comfortable steering wheel position for a while now. Currently I raise the wheel as high as it will go, but even then when I glance down I can't see the top of the speedometer for the top of the wheel. I've tried moving it down, and that's easier on my shoulders, but then I'm just blocking a different part of the console.

I'm curious, where do you prefer to set your steering wheel?

I'm 5'10 and have no problem. I bring the wheel down to the point just before it starts to obstruct my view of the speedometer and leave it there.

5'10

as low and as back (towards trunk) as it will go. i dont like to "reach" for the steering wheel but to rather "rest" on it. it does obscure the top of the speedo which is a tad annoying.

my other car has the steering wheel absolutely fixed, yet it (and everything else in the car) is absolutely positioned absolutely perfect for me

Most trouble I had was sitting position, my leg (gas pedal) one would get tired. So I moved the seat further back. The steering wheel seems fine in a low position I'm 5'9 also I have a gd I. Believe the ge have telescopic and tilt while gd only tilt

5'8"

I prefer to set the steering wheel as level with my shoulders as possible for maximum leverage. It's also more comfortable on long journeys.

Odd. I'm 5'9", and the highest the wheel goes still obstructs my view. Perhaps my seat is too close. Must go experiment.

I guess I should also add that the bottom of my seat is a little further forward and the back of my seat is a little more reclined that I think the average driver has them.

I have my steering wheel about a half an inch away from max bottom and pulled all the way forward.I'm 6'1 and I have my seat two clicks away from max rear, my seat back is nearly vertical just maybe 10 degrees from vertical.

JJIN has it. I've found it's a balance between wheel position, seat rail position and seat back position. Find the sweet spot.

A while back a post was running regarding seat position memory and the Fit needing it. I was skeptical at first, but it is fussy getting it right, and if another driver gets in the 'sweet spot' is lost.

I'm the sole driver so my seat/wheel set-up is most always good.

Interesting... I'm 5' 9.5" and sit one click forward of the max on the seat, then one click back on the recline. The wheel is almost all the way down (up high enough to not obstruct the gauges) and pulled all the way out (I think).

That's the most comfortable for me although I am looking at raising the front of the seat using a few washers for better leg support.

I just drop my wheel as low as it'll go, it'll obstruct the top part of the speedo that shows MPH so I just go off KM when I'm drving the freeways. But maybe things are set up differently in the GE.
