CleanMPG Poll?

The Fit's in a poll at CleanMPG.com for the greenest car contest. The fit doesn't get the best mileage but, I think, has the best MPG and cargo flexibility (magic seats) compromise of the lot. Anyway vote if you're a member! If you're not you should be! Much knowledge over there!

While I agree the Fit is pretty awesome when it comes to MPG considering the flexibility and function it brings to the table (and lets not forget about the curtain air bags and other MPG taxing "extra weight" safety features) I highly doubt it will win on that forum.

The CleanMPG mentality is not people looking for ultimate flexibility... all they care about on that forum is getting the best MPG (regardless of how much you end up spending trying to save a few dollars on gas... or more importantly the numerous unsafe practices they encourage).

It kind of reminds me of Greenpeace/Sierra Club when they protested the logging of "Clayoquat Sound";12,000 idiots left over 4 tonnes of garbage littered over the squatter camp they setup. Everything from dirty diapers to syringes used for heroin. It was cleaned at the expense of the municipality and also local volunteers... sometimes you realize the people who are the "moderates" are actually the ones who make the real difference out there.

/Rant

moderates!

I realize the fit won't win but if moderates keep quiet just as in politics it allows the extremists like the "moral majority" (anything but!) too much of a voice. The fit can do many of the duties of minivans, suvs and pickups and is thus green by taking such vehicles off the road.

All the people who bought Fits instead of a larger SUV or performance hatch will save literally billions of carbon emissions.. the Fit community alone is making a noticeable reduction! And to top it off we do so without sacrificing safety, road manners or even a spirited drive once in a while!

We as a giant mass of intelligent Fit drivers make a WAY bigger difference than CleanMPG ever could... I would say conservatively over 100,000 to 1.

Hooray for moderates!

I wouldn't say I'm intelligent just because I bought a Fit lol if anything I was dumb because I could've saved myself a lot of debt by getting something under 10 grand ;/

Before you call yourself stupid you might check out your fit's trade in value at Kelly Blue Book. Hondas are generally worth more down the road. In particular the Fit holds it's value very well. Most of your under 10K vehicles (versa or aveo) are junk and their resale will reflect that.

Yep, Consumer Reports gave the Aveo a 30 out of 100 rating.
