DIDNT KNOW HOW TO TITLE THE THREAD SO I JUST PUT DOWN THE 1ST THING THAT CAME TO MIND...ANYWAYS..ON TO MY DILEMMA.......I GOT THE INSPECTION DONE FOR FULL COVERAGE AND THE GUY THAT DID THE INSPECTION MADE A NOTE SAYING I HAD CUSTOM WHEELS...NOW THE INSURANCE COMPANY IS ASKING ME FOR INFO ON THE WHEELS SO THAT THEY CAN BE COVERED...BUT HOW DO I GIVE THEM INFO AND PROOF OF PURCHASE WHEN THEY WERE BOUGHT OFF SOMEBODY AND NOT A SHOP/WEBSITE OR ANYWHERE I COULDA GOT A RECEIPT? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

I just say that....be like, I bought them off somebody for a ridiculous amount

 

Best thing is to discuss it with the insurance agent. And be honest. If you have no receipt, just tell them that you bought them used in a private sale. If the wheels are still in production, provide a website to show what new replacement wheels would cost. The insurance agent will probably give you a couple of choices: Have wheels covered for the replacement amount, but at a higher premium, or have wheels covered for what you paid for them, but with a lower premium.

what i'm wondering is if I can just show em a website where they have a few rare wheels and tell em thats where i got em..I mean, that i bought em off someone who bought em from that site..cuz they have 2 sets of starks and i can just tell em they only carry one set of each wheel and once theyre sold they take the item down..thats it..no more..idk :-|

 

i got my full coverage inspection for geico from pepboys lol -- the guy went out with the clipboard took the mileage and then starting asking me about my exhaust lol ... then we walked over to his ek lol no questions asked

 

Show them a few sites. Memoryfab has some Starks, and I think jdmland has a set also. Not your style though.

 

thats where I went to get my inspection...the one off semoran...the stupid kid that did the inspection put down that the car was used as a commercial vehicle cuz he saw the stars and the kamispeed sticker..dumass! I went back after I noticed it and told them it wasn't used for commercial..theyre just stickers GOSH! haha!
