I'll soon take delivery on a Manual w/Navi. I'm excited. My last car was an auto Audi A6 and I miss the manual.

I understand the manual/navi is an unusual combo.

I'm a woman, btw.

I'm a good intuitive shifter - I'd like to get better.

You guys got any thoughts?

Yes, that's a rare combo. Manual by itself is rare with this Fit. To this day, I haven't seen another manual Fit on the road.

The manual Fit will be quite a different driving experience compared to the A6. Much more fun and involving.

Congrats!

Just drive a bunch of twisty backroads where you need to constantly be changing gears, and try to keep braking to a minimum. The fit is a momentum car. After you burn through a couple tanks the stick should come back to you no problem.

He meant a manual with NAVI.

my dealer had just about every color a/t fit(except bbp) with and without navi and only had i think 2 or 3 m/t sports(including mine) and none of them had navi. i wasn't too bummed though because i reasoned 2000 less without navi was just 2000 i could more easily spend on sutff i'd rather have like wheels, intake, exhaust, springs etc.

yah, plus nuvi's and blackberry's with navi are so frikken cheap these days and portable that having a dealer installed navi is just (imho) a big waste of money.

consider this. you go downtown and find a parking spot. now you lost directions to your destination cause you parked like 3blcks away. lol carry a nuvi or blackberry an walla, it'll take you to the door.

But you can't get stability control without NAVI on the '09, right? That's the main attraction of ordering it with NAVI.

yah, i suppose...but better tires is imho a better approach than the stability control... especially because it's a lowered powered car and front wheel drive. the main weakness is the tires.

if you're talking about a rear wheel drive with over 250hp, then it's good to have even with good tires especially in the rain.
