i think i agree with manxman, my fit does the light dimming thing, but it does not 'hesitate'. have not noticed an rpm dip either.

Gary, Take a look at that battery one time. Bet you never saw one that samll in a real deal car!

IMHO that is the reason. Small batter = pure alternator regulation of the voltage....
