I have an android radio and can link it with my phone through android play. I use WAZE for nav since it has real-time traffic base on fellow motorist using the app. I see that some car manufacturer is also using Waze as their navigation.

I've tried using my phone's nav app as well as a factory installed nav unit, and the problem with the phone is that Tokyo's insane streets turned it into a quivering pile of useless jelly. With the factory installed unit (my specific model is not sold in NA models) it tells me everything. It tells me how much I paid on a toll road, what kind of shops I can find at the next offramp, traffic conditions, road work warnings even down to telling me which lane to get into. Then there's the AV stuff like TV, DVD player, and the other bluetooth and radio stuff.

I know you guys don't have the full range of nav units we have here in Japan, but maybe if there was a demand for it, Honda would think about adding them as options.

Yes this is why I was considering the switch. I like that it has your speed displayed!
