In other words the very best looking fit model in the world

Also the bumbers are bigger - just look underneath.

Thanks for the pictures! Did you get a close enough look to see what might be involved in pulling off the aero stuff? With the Sport only $1320 above the base it will be the model I will buy (still a bargan to get all its upgrades) and want to make sure there will be no exposed screw holes (especially for the rear wing) afterward!

Is that Storm Silver? If it is, it looks much lighter than I thought it would...

That should be a Vancouver, Canada dealer... the scenery looks familiar.

And that's Alabaster Silver, not Storm Silver

I have never seen anything that says that Alabaster Silver is offered in North America. The only silvers are: Storm Silver Metallic and the Lunar Mist Metallic which really looks more blue and is not offered in the sport. Where did you see any information on Alabaster Silver?

I have been assuming that all of the Silver sports I have seen online are Storm Silver.

i think my dealer is holding out on me! i just phoned him and he said that they got a black one in today and oh...yeh...well..yeh there may be a silver one too..and it may be mine....he doesnt know (sounds to me like he doesnt want me to snatch it off the lot right away) i bet the Fits they get in before the official launch are suppose to be there mainly to help sell the Fit and get people to test drive them etc. Im betting they dont want them sold off the lot till the actual release! (damn it) He told me now that it was probably coming in this week (when before he said this weekend) and that they wont get the leasing/financing rates till April 3rd (so cant sell them until then).

He also said that all the salespeople test drove the Fit yesterday along with all the competitors (Yaris and Aero) and he said that the Fit handles way better (of course hes probably going say this no matter what!).

Anyways I want my Fit so he better not hold out on me too long! lol

This was Carter Honda in Vancouver.

Canada != US

We get a different set of colours. For starters, Alabaster Silver here, Tafetta White and Lunar Mist there

So what color is the one on the U.S. site?

This one:

I guess it should be Storm Silver because it is the U.S. site. Does anyone have an Official Photo of the Canadian Alabaster Silver. Is that one in that AJ PwR Jr. posted Albaster or Storm?

just got a quote from my california dealer:

the email i just got from manly honda in santa rosa, ca said he has one vivid blue sport arriving (vin and all) that i can reserve. so far the arrival date is 4.15.06.

he quoted me $16350. i really wanted to see the orange one before deciding. he's claiminig this is the only vin they've gotten so i'd be the first to get one in my area. i wonder hoa many people are being told that!

has anyone seen the orange? is it bright like a true orange or darker like copper?

what is your opinion the price? my other option is buying in oregon where there is not sales tax and i think tags are cheaper. i will be moving there in a couple of months, but i'd have to wait untill late april to get a car from there. currently my fiance is driving me everywhere cuz m subaru kicked off 2 weeks ago. blah

opinions wanted! thanks

OK, so went by the dealership today.

They had a light silver one for test drives and a darker silver in the showroom (sorry, don't know the names).

First test drive: Myself and my wife. Took it for a spin and it was great. Lots of room inside the car and the engine was peppy. Paddle shifting was easy and tranny shifted almost immediately after pressing the paddle. Cornering was tight, but there is bodyroll (of course) but not a lot.

Only bad thing that I thought was the engine noise was a bit high.

2nd test drive, we had a total of 4 people in the car. Again, engine noise was higher than i liked but the car still had pep with an almost full load!!!

How was the ride quality? I am curious if that rear beam suspension will contribute to some ride harshness compared to the more traditional independent rear macpherson type suspension.
