5-Speed manual does 3500rpm at 80mph...what does the automatic do?

The Car and Driver article has the following numbers for mph/1000rpm

1st: 4.5
2nd: 8.4
3rd: 11.9
4th: 16.2
5th: 20.6

Per their numbers, 80mph is achieved at 3,883rpm in 5th.
