Pretty in Pink
It's nice to know I'm not crazy - someone else wants an off-beat color. I guess since I won't be getting pink or purple here in the US, I'll learn to love my Storm Silver Fit. Now, if it would just hurry up and get here.
You don't want to repaint, especially not a total color change, unless you really have to.
Honestly, it'd be a better idea to sell your car and buy a white one.
I mean, unless you're TOTALLY stripping the car, like everything down to the bare monocoque, then doing the detachable panels seperately, it won't get done right. To do that all yourself will take lots of time, and to pay someone else to do it is going to be like $5kUSD to paint a car that only costs about 3 times that, which seems silly to me.
If you just run an el-cheapo outside-only color-change paintjob on a brand new car it will suck, stuff will be different colors.......ew.

Good luck with it if you have it done though, I hope it works out great!

Flip-flop
Anyone know the story on flip-flops? At least that's what they used to call it in VA. Something to due with mellatic, colored pigment in the clear coat layers. I've seen white cars look anywhere from pink to blood red, and all colors in between as you walked by and get different angles. Wonder how that would look on a silver car?
Sticking with my Vivid blue myself! Love the color. Toying with nice purple/blue magnetic flames I say online. Also toying with a Superman S for the hood. My 4 year old would love it!!

I would have LOVED a purple Fit, and I was so upset to learn that they only offer a purple-like color in Japan. I was curious about how well a re-paint job would look, somewhere along the line, but I figure that, since you don't see it too often, it must not come out too well. Plus, some posts in this thread confirmed my suspicions regarding that, as well.
I swear, there are so few purple cars in the US anymore. You see a bunch of reds and dark burgundys, but no true purple. Makes me sad
I love VBP, though. It's such a vibrant color.

I'm thinking green (forest, lime, whatever you prefer) would be a good way to go.
There aren't any "stock" ones out there like that so it'll really stand out and be different. On the other hand, green is more of a "mid-1990's" color these days and not as popular as it once was.
