Can I add AUX jack to USA base FIT model?

Base does not come with AUX, it's an accessory
ytwen, I have the same issue and from what I've read/found/seen is that you can add it on as an accessory. Here's a dealer that has it for sale: http://www.collegehillshonda.com/hon...ries/index.htm
so I'm guessing others will as well. My sis just bought a 2006 Civic and she said it was going to be about $250 to add it on which she passed on but regrets it now because she paid about $22k so what's another $250 in the end.
Anyway, all I want from the sport model is the AUX link, spoiler, and the alarm. I'm not interested in the rest of the body kit or CC, but I think the spoiler looks good on it. I figure I can get the parts I want as accessories or aftermarket for $800ish or about half the diff. from base to sport. Hope it works out though, you never know.

The iPod Musiclink is separate from the Aux Input. The iPod musiclink is specifically for the iPod and is compatible with Fit and Fit Sport. Aux Input is a standard audio input jack that will work with any mp3/audio/sat radio player.
The Aux In does not appear to be available as an accesory. But that doesnt mean it can't be installed if you get the parts.

I'd say the 2006 Civic Aux input jack (54$ on College Hils website) will also work on the base Fit in the US, or find the part number of the Fit Sport part, and install it yourself.

Short answer - YES for about $50 and an afternoon's worth of work.
There is a humongous thread on this in the ICE forum. So large it became a sticky. It has all the pictures, parts list, references and dialog you need to add it - if you want to pull your head unit.
I'm not into pulling the HU unless absolutely necessary so I'm going a different route - see the thread I started in the ICE forum starting with "MP3 player that plugs into CD changer . . ." or words to that effect.

If you can;t do it direct you can always get a media converter that you set to broadcast to an unused FM station and the other end plugs into the MP3 player. They are inexpensive and hool up in about 15 sec.
