Where? Which dealership? If you can be so kind, please find how many Fits were sold, and how many do they have left, and what prices are they quoting you for.

I am also in the L.A. area, so it'll be a real help, thanks!

Tires: Well, you'll be changing worn tires right? Just make sure the prices are reasonable.

Insurance: Although it's not likely you'll be asking this at a dealer (I was too hastey when posting, trying to catch you before you leave), I hope the insurace for the Fit is pretty cheap...

I mean, mostly the sport version is just cosmetics, same suspension, same engine...it just looks more sporty. In reality, the Fit Sport might even be a bit heavier due to the extra cosmetics, and the roof spoiler may actually introduce more drag.

The only additional utilities that you get out of the sport version is MP3/WMA compatibility, cruise control and the paddle shifters (way cool!). So hopefully, there's no difference in the insurance between the base and sport version.

If you're taking a longer term loan, the additional montly costs of getting the sport version might not be that much. Hmm...decisions, decisions...

Tires should be ok, as even the sport tires are only 15s. As for insurance, this is what I'm wondering too. Anyone who's picked up theirs already care to comment?

How are your getting away with picking your car up tomorrow? My dealer said Honda will not allow them to release any Fits, even the sold ones, until April 20. When they heard that I was renting a car, they loaned me one until they can turn mine over to me -- but I have to wait until Thursday morning.

I don't want anybody test driving my car. I put a deposit down and it has been labeled "your fit" whenever the dealer calls. There should not be any miles from test driving on my car. Most likely these cars that are being test drivin are already spoken for. Why can the dealers let people test drive the cars but not sell them until the 20th. Either way because of my color change my fit will not be here until April 27th.

---That is unless the dealer lied and just wanted to use it for test driving for a week.
