I'm going out to the back lot to see what colors and trim level. Be back in a minute.
We have 5 total so far. 4 sports, 2 black, 1red, 1storm silver. Only 1 Base manual in white.

Can you check to see if there is some limitation put on the dealers where you cant show/test drive the car for another few days? A dealer around here is telling me that the vehicle I preordered can't even be shown to me until the 22nd (and they confirmed that they have the vehicle in).

As far as the security system, we don't even have the accessories list yet. If it isn't done as a Honda Factory part I'll let you know. Quietknight I haven't heard anything about not being allowed to show the Fit. The only reason I can think off as to why other dealerships don't want to show the car is that they don't have enough techs to do the PDI in time. We got the Fits in about an hour ago, we should have one ready for the road in about 20 more min. max.

Usually an aftermarket alarm system, like Clifford or Autopage, is better than a factory one, which in most Honda's amount to a remote door opener and trunk release.

I'm not real familiar with car alarm systems, but I wouldn't be suprised if you could get an after market system as well or better than the Honda Alarm. What comes stock is the normal key fob with remote locks, and panic button. Once one is done with the PDI I can get you more details.

I don't think there is, because one of the dealerships called me today as soon as the truck pulled up with the Fits. He showed me a Taffeta White Base (the Sports hadn't been unloaded yet). He was going to let me drive it, but I had to go to work. I'm going to test drive it tomorrow, probably.

Michigans got Fits

Dealer called yesterday as truck was unloaded. Blue Sport Auto-$17700 out the door to be picked up on 20th. It looked awesome-loved it. Seats are very comfortable. Feels huge inside! Cars shipped without invoice and computer chips not installed. Peeled of protective coating from paint. Should be able to drive today! First shipment was 4 cars-black, silver, and blue sport;black base. Three are sold-msrp,dest,tax,tags-no addons

I called my local dealer yesterday and he said they had four on the lot!

I'm going to check them out today.

Just a sideways comment: pretty impressive how the logistics folks for Honda have managed to have ALL these Fits rolling off trucks, ALL over the country...at approximately the same time.

Honda dealers (like most dealers, unfortunately) are too often sources of misinformation, mere touts and rogues. But the Company...now *there* is some discipline, some walk like they talk.

I got to see mine and I'm taking it home tomorrow. It was fresh off the truck and the security system definitely came over with the rest of the car.

It all depends on the GM of the dealership. If he wants to sell; he'll sell today. If he thinks he can create an "event", he might hold them all until the event is over....
