Removing glove compartment?

Removing glove compartment?

My passport slipped to the back of the compartment. MAnual doesn;t explain how to remove compartment. Can anyone help??

1. open your glove box
2. squeeze the uppermost areas on the side together and allow the glove box to drop
3. watch the stuff you have inside fall to the floor mats

there's also (I think 2 or 3?) screws underneath. should completely come out if you can't find your passport doing the above

Thanks for info.. I tried squeezing the side but my box wouldn;t drop so nothing fell on the floor. I look underneath and saw a soft panel, so i bent it and wala... passport is stuck right there! awesome!

another way would be to unbolt the two bolts holding the glovebox up. Take a look up above the glovebox and u will see 2 gold colored bolts. U remove those 2, and the glovebox will drop down.

at 1st when i read the title, i thought you wanted to remove it for weight reduction hahahaha

Easy to remove: try to change the compartment air filters in my 2000 Accord!
Does anyone know if there is a compartment under the hood like the Accord to pop out and remove the leaves, branches etc that get stuck behind the filter when changing
