I'm interested in buying the 15" Sport wheels and tires from you guys that upgrade to 16" wheels.

I'd stick to 15 wides instead, But if i were to opt for the 16??? I would slam it...then you would trade the comfort of the 15 as well. Bigger doesn't necessarily better...It would be all cosmetics for looks.Again to put 16's and slam would be for looks.Although you could also get it for 15's stock slam or not.

Cheers !!!

I couldn't check the width of the rims, but I saw a Jazz with a real nice wheel/tire package on it Saturday...it was 205/50/15!

Two wheels that are equal weight actually can have two different rotaional inertias!

You can actually test this out yourself by comparing two equaly weighted disk and rolling them down a ramp. One should be just a ring with all the mass on the outer ring, the other can be a solid wheel. You'll find that the ring with less outer mass will actually acelerate and get to the bottom of the ramp faster than the ringed wheel.

Hence where the weight is placed is actually more important than how much it weighs. (To a point of course).

Just a physics FYI lol.

I know this thread is only discussing 15 or 16 inchers, but I saw this one with 17" wheels and 215/45ZR17 Dunlop tires on it. I just thought some of you might be interested how that combination looks.

^the front looks like it sticks out too far, kinda like a small drag tire. Def. rub it you had 17's and lowered.

$1500 total from my dealer. There is a set on eBay right now for around $700 now too (sans rubber). What size tire are they throwing on the 16s?

I'm looking for the sport wheels too, I even had a dream I bought them from one of you lovely sport owners this weekend.

If you are in the Bay Area (or reasonably close, SoCal too) and are upgrading, let me know.

What I would like is just better rubber, but at 185/65/14 there are no choices. Only cheap rubber comes in that size, but at least I can buy some Michelin winter tires that size.
