Man, its sucks too see someone's car vandalized. It looks deliberate and not 'accidential.' I remember you had your tail light damaged in the approximate area. My car is the same color and I would hate to see someone do that to my car.

The reason I started thinking about the FIT was because someone vandalized my 91 hatch. Smashed my hatch glass and driverside window, but then didn't take anything.

Now my dad and I are planning on installing one of those wireless security cams from COSTCO.

I don't know your ex, but I've had a few crazy ones like that myself. Be sure to tell the local police about her when they take the report.

 

How much do wireless security cams from COSTCO? And how does it work? Does it beam an image to your computer every so often? And does it just look straight through the windshield?

It seems like you just hook it up to a tv/vcr. I am sure if you computer has video capture you can do it that way. Only down-side is that there is no motion detection to trigger the start of recording, so that it is always recording. But hey, vhs is cheap. I am sure if you do it thru a computer, you can set it to capture images from the feed at timed intervals.

I think the mini can be powered by a 9V? Would be a good way to do covert monitoring from inside the car looking out. Get a facial shot.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Fit. I hope you can find secure parking somehow. I don't know if I could sleep at night. I hope you manage to catch this guy. Keep your seats folded in the cargo configuration with the flat loading floor. That way if you catch him by your Fit you can quickly smash him in the head, push him in the Fit, and sweep him away to a secure and safe location where you can explain to him how distressing it is to have someone damage your new car. I have the feeling your a good communicater. My prayers are with you.

 

People are assholes, that sucks man. The first week I had my Del Sol, it was egged along with two other cars in a parking lot of over 500 cars at college. Then a few months before I graduated, someone keyed the word "fag" into my drivers side door. At least I was able to git rid of that with rubbing compound.
