All of you people with your list of cars and under 30! I'm 27 and this will be my 3rd: 88 beretta gt (don't let it fool you, 0-60 in about 12secs), 94 s-10 (13-15mpg), and at the end of June my first new silver mt sport fit!
At 62 I am probably one of the oldest teenagers in the crowd. I bought the Fit based on Honda's reputation for reliability, it's style and gas milage. If I want to go fast, I use my Ford Lightning (400 + HP), if I want to cruise, I use my 56 Ford Fairlane, if I want to zip around town, go to work or the market, I use the Fit. It is probably the best automotive buy I have made in recent times. I have a white base model with automatic (Wife's requirement).
Does anyone know of a wing or air deflector to keep the back window clean when driving in bad weather?
This is my first entry on the website, keep it informative and fun, no need to knock anyone, even if you do think the other person is a nerd.

to satisfy DRum's need for accuracy. my Fit is of course an '07 model' . As a matter of interest why do they do that? Seems really stupid to me, a bit like publishing a July magazine issue in May. Oh right they do that too, but how would a simple Brit understand how the complex workings of the American socio-economic system works. Though I guess it's confusing that while the rest of the world does day/month/year here we mostly do month/day/year, (except for some government agencies who seem to randomly reassort the order). I can understand how this leads to confusion about months and years and stuff. but why is North America the only place where a pint only has 16 fluid ounces instead of 20? not only does it lead to confusion when comparing US, British and Aussie fuel economy figures for Fit's and Jazz's but it also leads to great disappointment when ordering pints of bitter in British Pubs over here. Sort of a let down.

anyway, i dont have my fit yet, so i do not know how annoying the back window gets in the weather. have you tried applying rain-x? they also make an anti fog application which put on the inside(i believe), if that is a problem.
Well I'm 29 and this will be my 4th vehicle. I have 2 right now
'91 Ford Escort GT 95-99
'97 Eagle Vision Tsi 99-Current(be rid of POS soon)
'83 F-150 4x4 April 05-Current(pulls boat, hauls stuff, winter, etc)
'07 Fit 06-Should have it in August
Once I drop the Eagle, I'll be back to 2 vehicles. Everything but the Eagle is/was a stick shift, and once I get the Fit everything will be a stick again!!!
That's my car history; after I bought my truck, I was thinking of doing the buy a $1500 junker every 3 yrs, then I saw the fit and the versatility won me over.

49 for a few more months. Perhaps my Fit (ordered 4/19) will arrive before I turn 50.
Previous transportation vehicles:
my own two feet, 10 speed bicycles and public transit until age 24 when I got my driv lic
1972 Ford F-250 pickup with camper top, built hell for stout but gas pig to da max, devoured fuel pumps like popcorn, and replacement hvydty parts always cost extra. Lived out of this for 4 years as field archeologist in western US. Owned 1981-94
1982 Ford Escort, bought in '85, this piece of junk got better mpg than the F-250 but cost nearly as much to maintain. Discarded when I purchased . . .
1987 Toyota Tercel Wagon. First car purchased new, wish they still made these. A LOT like the Honda Civic wagon of similar vintage, for which there have been many songs of praise on this forum. Still driving it today w/248k and no AC(!)--got 31 mpg on last tank-- but it will be retired if my Fit EVER gets here.
1994 Ford Ranger. Gotta have a pickup truck if you live out in the country especially in TX.
