The topic of age has come up several times, so I think it is appropriate for a little poll.

Good pole, I too am really interested in who the Fit's followers are - are they really "first time/fast and furious/"aero stuff hipsters" or are a good amount of them "older" folks that are attracted to the Fits versatility, MPG, handling and refinement?

Heh, my age would suggest the former (just about 21), but I'm buying for the latter reason. I think the Fit is going to be a great economical first car, and I'm really stoked to get it!

I may autoX it, but any racing I do is going to be purely for fun, and purely on the track/autoX course.

As an older guy, I'd rather spend 16K on a good, fun car and keep another 16K to grow in the stock market than spend 32K on something nicer. In 10 years the car won't be worth much but my stocks will.

So... polls about what model or color you're getting aren't stickied, but ones about age and sex are? Interesting...

Oh, and I'm 38.

I'm just short of 43.

Only owned 1 car in my life, so does that mean I'm 20 in car years??

I'm turning 64 on Saturday and the Storm Silver Fit is my b'day present to myself! And If I ever get off the road long enough to take pics, I'll post them...but this car is so much fun it may be a while! (Remember: As long as you keep moving, they can't bury you. )

Another Geezer here at 56 ! I told the salesman that I didn't like them calling these "entry level" cars. I just parted with a beloved 92 VW diesel at 439,000 kms and wanted airbags, ABS and mileage. I could afford more, but value a place to carry two big dogs and the same mileage (so far) as the old diesel. I think Honda nailed it with this car. Who needs more HP or price than this !

My thoughts, exactly (except I traded in my 84 Honda Civic Wagon)! And remember these words from a very wise "geezer"...

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Have an amazing day!
