How to turn off the hatch light?

In this lovely warm weather we're having, sometimes I like to sit in my car with the hatch open. Is there a way to do this without keeping the light on? I'm not talking about the dome light, I'm talking about the light on the left wall of the car in front of the hatch.

I have an 08.

Pop it open and wire in a switch, or buy an acura hatch light with a switch. Its a direct replacement.

I found a little rocker switch that I had laying around that was from an old PC power supply. I drilled hole of the appropriate size next to the light, opened up the tail light access panel, reached in and cut one of the wires going to the light. I then pushed the wires out the new drilled hole and crimped terminals on both of he wires. I connected them to the switch and now I can turn it off when the hatch is open. It doesn't matter what wire you cut, either way you will cutoff the power when the switch is off.

If you want an OEM switch the part number is 34265-SFE-003. If Honda doesnt have it, then go to an Acura dealer. Idk if they still have any. Dealer told me I brought the last one in the US but that was back in the Spring.
