^+1 yep, for super low cars just drive up on some 2x4's or get the takeda(?) low profile ramps...and then jack it up.

ive seen raceramps for very low cars but they cost like $250.

That's the exact ramp my folks own. They're great for the two cruisers, but not so great for the Accord and Fit.....

I use a DIY ramp
from Mustangworld - Build yourself some ramps !

Its overkill for the Fit but solid nonetheless. quite heavy tho.

Thanks for the advice guys! Unfortunately, no grand openings for Advance Auto Parts near me, but I do have one really nearby. It's going to be a while until I need to change the oil, so I might just wait and keep an eye out. I probably don't really "need" them for oil changes, but I'd like to have them in case I ever need to do something else down there.

Definitely have a set of ramps if you are going to be working on your cars. . They are very handy tools.

I tried shoving myself under the car without it being on jacks or ramps and I couldn't fit my big head under the bumper, let alone reach and put good torque on the drain plug. My dad's been telling me that's how they did in his day, but I don't think he drove a low-slung Honda...

on a crv you can do that but not on these cars.

if you have a hard time getting the plug loose use a closed wrench and a mallet and tap it loose. much easier than using a breaker bar that dont fit well in the small space.

those ramps are the SHIT! i have them. i use them for when i do other peoples cars since my car is too low.

these make oil changes so much faster. ive used them on suvs, trucks, and cars so they are stable.

but they are too steep. ive used the tomioka ramps and they work perfect for the lowered cars. that way you can slide a jack underneath the car.

I welded up a an adapter that fits inthe Fit's jack points and sits in the lift part of my floor jack. A few pumps and its high enough to get a small jack stand under it for safety.
Then I slide under it and get the drain plug out and then remove the stand and let it down to drain. Repeat to install plug and filter and then down to fill. Takes me 15 miutes and most of that is to allow drain time.

I did these a while back and I still have them in my back yard, rotting, lol. They were a pain because they are quite heavy and cumbersum and since there are a lot of Black Widow Spiders here in SC, I couldn't store these ramps without having a Black Widow build a nest in them so when I used them, I had those spiders crawling all around me, lol. Other than that, they worked great.
