POS cheap plastic parts!

I took my door panels off to do some sound deadening and a few of the armrest tabs broke, on the back passenger door one of the black triangular window covers broke (back of window). and on the hatch door the when i tried to remove the handle one of the clips broke. My old cars don't have these problems its mostly screws holding panels on! God damn cheap a$$es.

On the bright side, I used the second skin stuff and it worked pretty good.

Roughly translated:

might want to get a service manual if you're not sure where the clips are and where to pull (no joke).

Tools for those who don't know how to take apart various panels:

Hammer
Chisel
Flathead screwdriver (use inappropriately as leverage)
Crowbar
M-80 (for the hard to loosen parts)
WD-40
Lard
KY jelly
graphite (certainly more lubrication will help)
Maul and wedge
Jaws of life

Most importantly, lots and lots of cash. To buy and have installed what you just broke.

If it makes you feel any better, Porsche 911s have the same type of cheap plastic clips and fasteners.

Buy some extra clips/fasteners for future projects. Honda's are notoriously famous for failing, and buy some tools specifically designed for their removal. Any good tool store should have something like these in stock.

example only:Amazon.com: 5 pc. No-Scratch Tools for Removing Fastener & Molding: Automotive

Its not that they fail, its that people don't know the correct way to remove them and end up breaking them.
