Question Fit Questions

I am very close to putting money down on a Fit, but I have a few questions:
Has anyone had problems with the car scraping bottom going up or down driveways.
I live in Arizona how does the car perform with the AC running when it's 110 outside?

Thanks Dryheat

Welcome to Fitfreak.Net! I have a GD3(2007-2008 USDM Fit's) and yes since the GD3's have low ground clearance, my front bumper have scraped many times. I don't know about the new ones so I'm not much of a help here unless you're buying a GD3 Fit.
About the airconditioning I think it's descent but it takes a bit to get cold when you started the car while sitting under the sun for a little while but when the aircon gets cold, I think it's okay but I don't recall experiencing 110° in the Fit yet.

I've scraped the bottom of my 2010 Fit once or twice but that was when the car was very new to me and I wasn't used to the low ground clearance for the front bumper. But I got really good really quickly at taking inclines at an angle and being really slow and careful about going down steep hills that meet a flat area. If you drive carefully and thoughtfully, scraping isn't a problem.

I have no idea how the A/C would hold up to temps like that because I've only had my car for winter so far. But the heater is great!

hey finally, another arizonan in my neck of the woods...or desert...whatever! anyway, i gotz the GD3 stock model (not sport) without the lip kit. also, mine came with the 14in. wheels and I do not scrape anywhere! as you can see in my avatar info...im in rio rico where the roads are sub par and the hills are tremendous. In the summer, i do run the a/c and found that this little torquey engine holds its own just fine. once you start doing upgrades, it seems to alleviate any worries at all. Feel free to write me as im always on the blackberry checkin in. Welcome.

I have yet to scrape the bottom of the bumper on anything here in town, and there's all kinds of places to do that, may it be road transitions, dips in the road or this huge curb-like thing around my bank. A/C kicks on quick and works well. The only problem I have with it is that the condensor likes to kick on and off more frequently than I think it should. Overall, it's an awesome little car!
