engine overheat problem

Hi all
Does anyone know if Honda plans to retrofit or offer an engine temperature gauage for the Fit? I live in Phoenix,AZ and really want to travel out of state without the engine overheating. I asked a mechanic at the dealership I bought my Fit and he was clueless. I can't believe that Honda would miss such and important feature like that.

It has a gauge, the blue light means cold. when its off the engine is at operating temp

then if red light is blinking you are running hot and when it turns solid, turn your car off.

You don't have to worry the guage will let you know if the car is hot.

it will even throw a CEL if u're overheating. as long as ur radiator and reserve bottle is at maximum with coolant, and there are no leaks in ur system, u shouldnt worry.

go drive the car the way its meant to be driven, its a Honda.

My old GMC Suburban overheated once because of a failed waterpump. The ECM shut down the motor before any harm was done, it wasn't just a CEL.

This is were the manual comes in handy.

It corrects most if not all mis-information.
