"The review is laughable when it tries to suggest that the Fit is expensive. I challenge anyone to give an example of more car for the money. And it's a Honda, made in Japan, which means it is one of the best vehicles made in the world. Reliability, doesn't enter into many reviews in Magazines. Fit and Finish are uncomparable in this price range....."

Maybe not more car for the money, but the Scion xA and Scion xB are both in the same league. They're Toyotas and they are made in Japan, which means they are some of the best vehicles made in the world. The Honda Fit is a very nice car, but its not like it doesn't have viable competition.

The review did mention that the Fit was better equipped than any car in its class. The base price is pretty expensive, but they do give you alot of standard features for the price.

Comparing apples to apples, Motorweek got the Yaris at 9.5 to 60 (vs 11.0 for the Fit) and the Yaris got 36 mpg on their loop (vs 33 for the Fit). Both were automatics.

While the Fit is certainly more versatile (no 4 dor hatch for the Yaris) and handles better, it does seem like the Toyota has a pretty nice drivetrain. While the Fit certainly does get good mileage this does illustrate that it could have been better without hurting performance - not news to most of us.

I test drove the Corolla and Civic back in 2002, and the Toyota powerplant was a lot more pleasing that the Honda one and got similar mileage. Just couldn't stand the rubbery handling of the Corolla. The Yaris, just can't stand the deal-breaker exterior... and the Toyota option list for vehicles is nuts! Cripes! It's why I never bought a Matrix. Honda said here's a decently-equipped Sport Fit a/t, it's $16K, and gets >30mpg. So simple...

Here is the link to the download. It's in .wmv format, almost 6 minutes long, and about 75MB. Enjoy.

Yeah So What !!!

Shiiiiit !!! ...and i was looking forward to hitting it off like that at every stop??? NOT !!!!...Who cares about the specs,we all know that the FIT is only good for the amount of horses on the powerband.Give or Take, it is better than the others in its class. But getting under 10's would be suffice for the weight ratio.

Just be happy and listen to the rev and you will be honored.

Cheers !!! Another 2 weeks to go.
