I can't believe people choose to live in places where they need (or feel they need) a handgun.

I don't even lock my car.

I have a concealed weapons permit, so no worries. I'm not some dew rag wearin', spinners on my ride, gold toothed knucklehead trying to protect my product.

I like the idea of being able to protect my life or anybody else who is with me if the situation ever arose.

Rayzer59, I'll let you know what I find.

Useless gun weilding comments aside (this coming from a Canadian...)

The rear bench on the Fit flips up, maybe you can do something with that. Aftermarket center armrests don't necessarily have the right dimensions, many look kinda small for a handgun. Depends on the size I guess. But I'd wager on it not fitting there.

MunkeeFit, If you find a good place let me know too. When I get my Fit I will let you know my opinion on a good spot also.

Since I got my new red milano Fit LX, I didn't put back my baseball bat on the back floor. Maybe because I feel cooler in my red fit than in my 2003 civic.

Benfal, I think the red is super gorgeous, too; one of the rare shades of red I like in a car. I'm sure you look great in it!!

Got any pictures?

Nah, keep it if you like it. I've had emails about that doggie; didn't he win "ugliest dog of the year" or something? Maybe "ugliest dog EVER?"

But it makes me laugh when I see your posts, so it doesn't bother me; I was just making a joke!

not everyone has the option to live in a nice or decent area. Even if they do sometimes the route to work or because of work can lead through dangerous areas. Don't be so closed minded.

I think that Munkee's best bet would be to buy a optional center arm rest so that you may store it in there. But if it doesn't fit there then maybe you could find a way to tape or secure a pouch underneath the drivers side dash? Something that you can get to quickly and easily.

A possibility. An inexpensive holster with velco hot glued to the side that should stick well to the carpeting under the seat, should prevent it from sliding backward and out of reach.

Found another storage compartment tonight, can't believe I overlooked this one.

I would think that one would be too small for a gun unless it's some EXTREMELY small gun.

I still think under the dash is the best.

That's the garage door opener control minus the metal spring clip cubbyhole.

Yeah, make it easy on the criminals. They need to make a living too.
I read the NRA Armed Citizen articles and those poor robbers need to have a chance. Old people are the worst, young criminals are dying because of geezers with guns.

Sorry to drop by, couldn't let this one slip: cdnrsx, I really expected better of the Canadians, guess I was wrong. Are ya'll about to follow the lead of the Australians and hand in all your firearms?

Isn't that what they did in Germany in the late 30's?
